Princeton, NJ – December 5, 2025 - The Fund for New Jersey is proud to announce that its President, Brandon McKoy, has been appointed to serve on Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill’s transition team as part of the Interdisciplinary Advisory Task Force. This appointment enables The Fund to share its deep public policy expertise and community-focused perspective with the transition team and help shape state-level policy discussions. The task force is comprised of leaders from various industries across New Jersey and provides the incoming administration with a real-world perspective on current and future policy issues.

In this role, Brandon will use his expertise in public policy, tax and budget analysis, and community engagement to help guide a smooth and thoughtful transition for the incoming administration. His participation underscores the longstanding commitment of The Fund for New Jersey to support equitable policy solutions that strengthen communities across the state.

Brandon shares, "Joining Governor-elect Sherrill’s transition is a distinct privilege. The Fund for New Jersey is committed to ensuring that sound, equitable public policy drives the Garden State forward. As demonstrated in our Crossroads NJ 2025 report, we believe in convening diverse voices to solve complex problems.

While New Jersey has accomplished a great deal in education and community safety, the challenges we face require deep collaboration. I am excited to help strengthen the vital relationship between philanthropy, community advocates, and government to build a state where every resident can thrive."

The Fund congratulates Brandon on this well-deserved appointment and remains committed to working with partners across New Jersey to advance policies that strengthen communities and expand opportunities for all.
