Lucy Vandenberg is the Senior Program Officer for The Fund for New Jersey. Previously, Ms. Vandenberg served as the Executive Director of PlanSmart NJ, a statewide non-profit research and planning organization that advocates for smart growth. She has a broad background in land use planning, community development, housing, and urban revitalization. She has served as a Planning and Redevelopment Aide in the City of Camden, Executive Director of the NJ Council on Affordable Housing (COAH) and Senior Policy Advisor for housing and urban revitalization in Governor James E. McGreevey’s administration. She previously worked in the non-profit sector, serving as
the Associate Director of the Housing and Community Development Network of NJ, a statewide association of affordable housing and community development organizations working to build communities.
Ms. Vandenberg is a member of the Trenton Board of Education. She is a graduate of University of Michigan (A.B.) and Rutgers University, with an M.S.W. in policy and planning. She has worked for The Fund for New Jersey since 2013.
