Erik Cruz-Morales

Program Associate/Leonard Lieberman Philanthropy Fellow

Erik Cruz-Morales earned his Master of Public Administration, with a concentration in Leadership for Public Organizations, from the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University–Newark. A first‐generation college student, he graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers–Newark with a bachelor’s in public administration and nonprofit management. While at Rutgers, Erik earned honors, including the Eagleton Institute of Politics Fellowship and the Richard W. Roper Undergraduate Scholarship in Civic Responsibility. Erik worked at the NJ Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency as an Eagleton Fellow, and previously interned at the ACLU of New Jersey, in Assemblyman Gordon Johnson's office, and in Congressman Bill Pascrell's office. He is a co-owner of Jersey Pickles, LLC and is certified as a substitute teacher. He serves on the alumni council of Dream US and is a member of the American Society for Public Administration. Erik is bilingual in English and Spanish. Erik lives in New Milford and is deeply committed to New Jersey. He is passionate about civic engagement and helping others understand the issues affecting their communities.
